Unique Characteristics:

  • 300-acre campus in Manchester, NH.  70% of our UG Day students reside on campus while 30% commute from the local area.
  • A 300-bed residence hall for incoming students will be build by Fall 2013.  Plans are also underway to build a new library and learning commons by 2014.  The new 50,000 square foot building will include our current collection of 100,000 books, a cafe and study areas.  Construction will be complete in 2014.
  • New Majors 2012: Operations and Project Management
  • New Majors 2011: Mathematics, Middle School Math Education, Middle School Science Education, Music Education.
  • The 3-Year Program in Business allows students to earn a degree in Business Administration in only 3 years.  Does not require students to attend on nights, weekends or summers.  The program is competency based.
  • Culinary Arts Program and an award-winning, student run, gourmet restaurant on campus which is open to the public.  Students can study either Baking and Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts.
  • Center for Financial Studies is a unique, state-of-the-art learning lab for our students to learn to trade stocks/bonds.
  • Average class size is around 20 students with a student/faculty ration of 15:1.
  • Our students are a diverse and engaging group, coming from more than 28 states and 68 countries. The Office of Diversity Initiatives works with students, faculty and staff to create an inclusive, supportive campus environment.


  • NCAA Division II athletics competing in the Northeast 10 Conference.
  • SNHU offer 17 varsity sports for men and women and  intramural sports:
    • Men’s: Baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, golf, hockey, lacrosse, soccer, tennis

  • With more than 55 clubs and organizations, life at SNHU is busy and active. From the Student Government Association to the student-run newspaper, The Penmen Press, you’re sure to find a club that interests you. Of course, there’s always room for more clubs, and it’s easy to start your own!
